Mumbai, July 30 (IANS) Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is known for films like ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, and ‘Manto’, is a proud father as his daughter Shora begins her acting journey in London.

The acclaimed actor took to his Instagram stories on Tuesday and shared a picture of his daughter with her friends at an acting workshop.

He captioned the picture: “Shora with her friends. Acting workshop London.”

Nawazuddin’s pride in seeing his daughter follow in his footsteps is palpable.

Witnessing Shora embrace the craft with the same dedication and passion that defined his own career adds a personal and heartwarming chapter to his journey as a father and an artist.

The actor also shared a video of himself enjoying a play with his daughter at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London.

During his struggle phase, Nawazuddin conducted acting workshops for aspiring actors to make a living and survive in Mumbai.

Coming from a humble background and currently experiencing a successful phase in his career, Nawazuddin feels great pride in seeing his daughter step into the world of acting.

On the work front, Nawazuddin, who was recently seen in the streaming film ‘Raatu Ka Raaz’, has ‘Oil Kumar’, ‘Adbhut’, ‘Noorani Chehra’, and ‘Sangeen’ in the pipeline.

Taking to Instagram, Shehnaaz, who has 18.3 million followers, posted a series of pictures in which she is wearing a yellow Anarkali suit paired with a matching dupatta.

For makeup, she opted for a natural look with nude pink lips, black eyeliner, and blushed cheeks. Her hair was half-tied and left open, and she completed the look with small droplet earrings.

Shehnaaz gave the geotag of Fresno, California.

The actress shared the post with the caption: “Sunshine in a yellow dress,” followed by a sun emoji.

Mumbai, July 30 (IANS) The teaser for the upcoming period streaming show ‘Freedom at Midnight’ was unveiled on Tuesday, offering a glimpse into the political tensions during the final stages of India’s independence, which ultimately led to the partition of India, considered the largest migration in human history.

The teaser depicts a scene where Mahatma Gandhi asks Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel to withdraw his nomination for the position of India’s first Prime Minister, paving the way for Jawaharlal Nehru.

The atmosphere inside the room shifts dramatically as Gandhi hands the withdrawal letter to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Historically, Gandhi had favoured Nehru for the Congress presidency over Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in 1929, 1937, and 1946.

India’s first President, Rajendra Prasad, had expressed his displeasure over Gandhi “sacrificing his trusted lieutenant (Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel) for the sake of the glamorous Nehru.”

The series features a stellar cast, including Sidhant Gupta as Jawaharlal Nehru, Chirag Vohra as Mahatma Gandhi, Rajendra Chawla as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Arif Zakaria as Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Ira Dubey as Fatima Jinnah, Malishka Mendonsa as Sarojini Naidu, Rajesh Kumar as Liaquat Ali Khan, KC Shankar as V.P. Mumbai, July 30 (IANS) Actress Rashami Desai, who is known for her roles in ‘Uttaran’ and ‘Nach Baliye 7’, has opened up about a challenging time in her life when she faced severe financial difficulties.

The actress revealed that she had loans amounting to crores and was struggling to find a way to improve her situation.

This period of financial distress coincided with a significant family dispute in 2017, leading her to block all her family members from her contact list.

Rashami shared her experience on Paras Chhabra’s podcast, stating, “2017 was a phase where I faced a lot of family disputes. I was extremely weak financially, you could say I was at zero. I had loans worth crores as liabilities. I was perplexed as to how I would pay them off. That’s when I got ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’. The journey of that show was very interesting for me.”

The actress mentioned that whatever she earned from the show, she used to secure her future.

“But then, securing the future is not the only thing that you could do. I didn’t know how to utilise those things in a larger sense. I had no investment plan,” she added.

Rashami said that she comes from a humble background where investments and wealth creation are not part of their value system, making it difficult for her to secure herself financially despite working in the industry for so long.

Mumbai, July 30 (IANS) Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has shared how he spends his days off from the quiz-based reality show “Kaun Banega Crorepati.”

In a recent blog post, the cine icon wrote: “An off day from KBC and dedicated to the body in the gym and dedicated to them that know what should be done…”

The actor shared that he even finished some pending work.

“But before that some VO’s that had been pending for a while… some from the ad., films done, and some for a friend who has developed and given obeisance to the Divine… always a moment that one does unhesitantly,” said the thespian.

Big B also revealed that he is in the process of planning to show his latest release, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, to a select few. However, he did not disclose who would be viewing the film.

“We are in the process of planning to show to a few limited the film KALKI and I work towards it… but please do not take this as an invitation yet… the planning is in process… IN PROCESS… it may fructify it may not,” he said.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is an epic science fiction film featuring Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani.

It is the first instalment of the Kalki Cinematic Universe and draws inspiration from Hindu scriptures.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world in the year 2898 AD, the film follows the journey of a group of people who strive to save the unborn child of lab subject SUM-80, named Kalki.
