Salman praises Vicky Kaushal’s ‘great moves’ in ‘Tauba Tauba’: 'Song looking good'

Mumbai, July 4 (IANS) Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has heaped praise on actor Vicky Kaushal for his dance moves in the latest song ‘Tauba Tauba’ from his upcoming film ‘Bad Newz’.

Salman took to his Instagram Stories, where he shared the music video of the song by Punjabi singer Karan Aujla, known for hits such as ‘Players’, ‘Gangsta’, ‘Mexico’, and ‘God Damn’.

In the video, Vicky is seen effortlessly grooving on the song dressed in an all-black outfit paired with sunglasses.

“Great moves Vicky… Song looking good. Best wishes! @vickykaushal09,” Salman captioned the clip.

‘Tauba Tauba’, which dropped on July 2, currently has 14,627,318 views and as per YouTube, is the No. 1 trending number.

On Wednesday, Vicky shared the music video with the caption, “Punjabi gaana aur main dance na karu?! Let’s go! #TaubaTauba song out now.”

Directed by Anand Tiwari, ‘Bad Newz’ also starring Ammy Virk and Triptii Dimri explores the funny side of a rare pregnancy phenomenon – ‘Heteropaternal Superfecundation’, wherein a woman gets pregnant with twins from two different fathers.

Coming back to Salman, the actor will be next seen in ‘Sikandar’ directed by A.R. Murugadoss. The film also stars Sathyaraj, Rashmika Mandanna, and Prateik Babbar in key roles.

Guru Randhawa awaits his flight in poster of Punjabi film ‘Shahkot’

Mumbai, July 7 (IANS) The new poster of the upcoming Guru Randhawa-starrer Punjabi film ‘Shahkot’ was unveiled on Sunday.

It shows two images of Guru holding a passport and walking on the tarmac with his luggage. The film, which marks Guru Randhawa’s debut in Punjabi cinema, also stars Isha Talwar, Raj Babbar, Seema Kaushal, Hardip Gill and Gurshabad in pivotal roles.

‘Shahkot’ has been written and directed by Rajiv Dhingra, who is very well known for ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’, and for films like ‘Love Punjab’ and ‘Firangi’.

Talking about the film, Rajiv said, “As a Director, my only aim is to bring stories, with mass and class appeal for the global audiences. With Shahkot, I can say that this is not a regular love story.”

The film is produced by Anirudh Mohta of Aim7Sky Studios; in association with 751 Films & Rapa Nui’s Films. Music and background score has been done by Jatinder Shah.

Anirudh said, “I believe that Punjabi films are going to be the next big thing. My aim, as a Producer, is to bring new dimensions in filmmaking and bring forth stories which have the ability to evoke a feeling of shared emotions with our audiences across the globe.”

The film is touted to be a combination of melody, story, and highly anticipated performances. This movie will be theatrically distributed by Seven Colors, worldwide.

‘Shahkot’ is set to release on October 4.

Priyanka Mohan's cop character has hope in her eyes in 1st look from 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’

Mumbai, July 7 (IANS) The first look of actress Priyanka Mohan from the upcoming Nani-starrer film ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’ was unveiled on Sunday. The picture shows her as a cop holding a bag as she looks up at the sky.

In the film, the actress essays the role of Charu. The makers shared the 1st look on social media. They wrote in the caption, “Introducing @Priyankaamohanofficial as Charulatha from #SuryasSaturday. She’s on a Mission to Report straight to your hearts.”

Recently, the first single titled ‘Garam Garam’ from the film was also released and garnered a lot of positive response.

The makers had also released the latest look of Nani from the film which showcased a different side of his character. The new poster showcased a more serene and composed Nani, depicting the calm side of his character.

Produced by DVV Entertainment, ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’ is written and directed by Vivek Athreya. The film also stars SJ Suryah and Sai Kumar P.

Esha Deol recalls shooting for ‘Tell Me O Kkhuda’ in Jodhpur during an influencers' meet

Mumbai, July 7 (IANS) Actress Esha Deol attended the Influencer Meet in Jodhpur on Sunday.

The actress shared that the event, organised by the Sindhi and Marwadi communities, will encourage many women in the field.

Esha reminisced about shooting her film ‘Tell Me O Kkhuda’ in Jodhpur back in 2010, telling the media, “I remember spending a great time in Jodhpur back then.”

The actress shared that whenever she visits Jodhpur, memories of filming flood her mind.

“I got to experience the camel race and learned a lot. There’s a camel here in Jodhpur named Saddam, who is now my camel,” she added.

On the personal front, Esha and her husband, Bharat Takhtani, recently announced their separation after 12 years of marriage.

They released a joint statement saying, “We have mutually and amicably decided to part ways. Through this shift in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children is and will be of utmost importance to us. We’d appreciate our privacy is respected.”

Sonakshi talks about emotional moment on her wedding day when 'maa started crying'

Mumbai, July 7 (IANS) Sonakshi Sinha revealed that her mother, Poonam Sinha, started crying on her wedding day when she realised that the actress would be moving out of their house, Ramayan, after her marriage to Zaheer Iqbal.

On Sunday, Sonakshi took to Instagram and shared some moments from her wedding day.

The pictures captured heartwarming moments with Sonakshi, her mother, and her father, Shatrughan Sinha.

“At the wedding, Maa started crying when it hit her that I would be moving out of the house. I told her, ‘Maa, don’t worry… Juhu to Bandra is only 25 minutes away,'” Sonakshi wrote in the caption.

The actress shared that she was missing her parents.

“Missing them a lil extra today, so l’m telling myself the exact same thing Hope theres Sunday sindhi curry made at home…See you soon… zoom zoom zoom,” the actress, who was last seen in the series ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’, added.

The actor-politician took to social media on Tuesday to express gratitude to his followers for their support with a heartfelt note.

Professionally, Sonakshi will star alongside Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem in ‘Kakuda’, a horror comedy set in a curse-inflicted village in the Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh.

The film tells the story of a bizarre ritual that requires the opening of a dummy door of each house every Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. Failure to comply invites the wrath of Kakuda, who punishes the man of the house.

Huma’s lives the island life; holidays in Seychelles, says she is ‘obsessed with nature’

Mumbai, July 7 (IANS) Actress Huma Qureshi is currently holidaying in the Seychelles and said that she is living the “island life.”

Huma took to Instagram stories, where she first shared a video of herself walking on the beach. She then panned the camera to show the picturesque locale of the Seychelles.

“Living the island life,” she captioned the clip.

The actress then encountered a tortoise and was seen having a conversation with it. She asked the tortoise if it was “friendly” and commented that “it’s the most beautiful thing ever.”

“Just hanging out with my new friends #islandlife,” she wrote in the caption.

After her encounter with the tortoise, she saw a snail and wrote: “Island life with HQ, obsessed with nature.”

On the work front, Huma will next be seen in the film ‘Gulabi’, directed by Vipul Mehta. It revolves around the true story of a brave autorickshaw driver who became a beacon of change, inspiring women to reclaim their destinies.

The film also stars Chandrachur Singh, Sachin Khedekar, Avijit Dutt, Shampa Mandal, Priti Shukla, Vibhor Mayank, and Aditi Kanchan Singh.

‘Bayaan’ follows the story of a father-daughter duo. Roohi, a female detective, is sent to a small town in Rajasthan to investigate the first case of her career as a lead investigator.
